Another fact lies here that he is the first scientist and unmarried person holding the president’s position. Not only this, he was the receiver of the Padma Bhushan (1981), Padma Vibhushan (1990) and the Bharat Ratna (1997) for his role in various successfully projects of ISRO and DRDO and was also praised for his job as scientific advisor of Indian government. He was the receiver of America’s top engineering prize, Hoover Medal for his contribution in public services. The great man had got honorary doctorates from more than 30 universities from all over the world.
