Major Rishabh Singh Sambyal (Retd.), the former Indian Army officer who served as Aide-de-Camp to President Droupadi Murmu and gained widespread recognition as the “national crush,” has partnered with the homegrown streetwear brand Bonkers Corner for a dedicated collection. The collaboration is featured prominently on the brand’s website under “MAJ RISHABH (RETD.) X BONKERS.”
About Major Rishabh Singh Sambyal
Major Sambyal hails from a Dogra Rajput family with military traditions in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir. He cleared the National Defence Academy examination in 2013, joined the 133rd NDA course in 2014, and later trained at the Indian Military Academy. Commissioned into the Indian Army, he served approximately 12 years, including with the Jat Regiment where, as a Captain, he led the contingent that won the Best Marching Contingent Trophy at the 2021 Republic Day Parade and with the elite 4 Para Special Forces (known as the “Daggers”), where he earned the Balidaan Badge.
In March 2023 he was selected as ADC to President Droupadi Murmu, a role that brought him into public view through official duties and viral moments. He took premature retirement in late August/early September 2026, describing it as the hardest decision of his life, made for family commitments. Post-retirement he has engaged in content creation, keynote speaking, and discussions on leadership, strategy, and high performance, while maintaining a large social media following.
The Bonkers Corner Collaboration
Bonkers Corner, founded in 2020 by Shubham Gupta, is a Mumbai/Thane-based unisex luxury streetwear label known for oversized fits, graphic designs, limited drops, and collaborations. It appeared on Shark Tank India Season 5 (with investment from Namita Thapar) and later raised a Series A round of approximately ₹95 crore. The brand has expanded its retail presence and frequently partners on culturally relevant collections.
The Maj Rishabh (Retd.) x Bonkers collection currently lists five pieces focused on polished, versatile pieces rather than heavy graphic streetwear: wrinkle-free shirts in Classic Navy, Black, and White (discounted prices around ₹1,699–₹2,299), a Black Stardust Zip Hoodie (around ₹1,999), and a Paisley Canvas Jacket (around ₹2,999). These are available on the Bonkers Corner website, with ongoing promotions such as discount codes.
The partnership aligns with the brand’s broader emphasis on authenticity. Major Sambyal has also appeared alongside founder Shubham Gupta, Namita Thapar, and Anushka Sen in a Bonkers Corner campaign addressing counterfeits and brand integrity. His recent messaging, including the post “Earned, not borrowed,” resonates with themes of genuine achievement versus imitation.

Significance
The collaboration brings a high-profile former officer associated with discipline, Special Forces service, and ceremonial excellence into the Indian streetwear space. It reflects Bonkers Corner’s strategy of leveraging recognisable personalities and cultural moments while offering consumers accessible premium pieces. For Major Sambyal, it represents one facet of his post-service activities alongside speaking engagements and digital content focused on leadership and mindset.
The collection is live on bonkerscorner.com, where customers can explore the pieces under the dedicated Maj Rishabh collaboration section. Details on additional drops or campaign extensions have not been extensively publicised beyond the current listings and related brand activity.
