Last date of applying for CDS 1 2017 – 2 December, 2016

G.K. – G.K. is the main part of the exam and the decider of your selection. The candidates have to excel themselves more in G.K. It is not a scoring part of the exam. You need to get passing marks in it and score in the other two papers. G.K. consists of questions related to the subjects of science, commerce and arts, some military basics and current affairs. For that you need to perform well in your respective subjects and brush up your current affair knowledge. English – In English, aspirants must start reading newspaper, especially editorial pages. Focus on the vocabulary and sentence arrangements. English is the scoring part of the exam for those candidates, who have good hold over English. Maths – Maths is the lengthiest part of the exam. Most of the candidates are capable of performing well in maths. Those who see English as a backdrop, can take maths as a scoring part.
