On the occasion of World Health Day 2024, the College of Nursing at the Command Hospital (Central Command), Lucknow, under the auspices of the Indian Army’s Surya Command, hosted a significant awareness program aimed at highlighting the importance of health care rights.
This year’s theme, ‘My Health My Right,’ brought to the forefront the critical issue of access to quality health care as a fundamental right rather than a privilege.

The event featured an enlightening panel discussion on ‘Quality health care, a priority not an afterthought,’ bringing together a diverse group of experts from the medical field.
The discussion focused on the importance of integrating quality health care into the basic framework of public health policies and the need for a systemic shift to prioritize health care accessibility for all individuals.

Complementing the discussions, a poster competition was organized, inviting participants to visually express their perspectives on the theme.
This creative endeavor served as a powerful medium to spread awareness and advocate for the right to health, illustrating the collective vision of a future where quality health care is universally accessible.

The awareness program organized by the College of Nursing, CH(CC), in Lucknow on World Health Day 2024, underscored the Indian Army’s commitment to promoting health and wellness within the community.
Through initiatives like these, the Surya Command aims to foster a deeper understanding of health care rights and the critical role of quality health care services in ensuring the well-being of society.
