The Corps Commander conveyed his warm Diwali greetings to all ranks and their families, acknowledging the sacrifices made by soldiers who continue to serve the nation while remaining away from their loved ones during the festive season.

The visit highlighted the strong bond between commanders and troops, reinforcing the spirit of camaraderie, unity and mutual respect that forms the foundation of the Indian Army’s operational strength.

Ladakh’s high-altitude terrain presents significant operational challenges, including extreme temperatures, difficult mountainous landscapes and demanding logistical conditions. Indian Army personnel deployed along the LAC maintain constant vigilance and operational readiness to ensure the security of the country’s northern borders.

The Fire and Fury Corps, also known as XIV Corps, plays a crucial role in safeguarding India’s strategic interests in the Ladakh region, with its personnel operating in some of the world’s most demanding military environments.

The Corps Commander’s visit during Diwali served as a morale-boosting gesture for troops deployed at remote forward posts, reaffirming the Army leadership’s appreciation for their service and sacrifices.
