The drill highlighted the importance of rapid medical response capabilities in ensuring the health and well-being of naval personnel during operations.

In a demonstration of cutting-edge medical technology, real-time medical communication through a Telemedicine node was showcased, connecting INS Visakhapatnam with the Indian Naval Hospital Ship Asvini.

This innovative telemedicine capability enables remote medical consultations and enhances medical support for naval personnel deployed in distant waters.

Lieutenant General Daljit Singh, Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin, and Surgeon Rear Admiral Anupam Kapur also seized the opportunity to interact with officers, sailors, and newly recruited Agniveers (medical officers) onboard INS Visakhapatnam.

It also highlighted the importance of close collaboration between medical professionals and operational units in maintaining readiness and operational effectiveness of the Indian Armed Forces.

The deployment of advanced medical capabilities and technologies aboard INS Visakhapatnam reflects the Indian Navy’s commitment to providing world-class medical support to its personnel, both ashore and at sea.
