The visit aimed to bolster bilateral engagements, foster cooperation, and reaffirm the commitment to enhance maritime security and stability in the region.

Led by Rear Admiral Rajesh Dhankhar, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet, and the Commanding Officers of the visiting ships, the Indian delegation engaged in a series of interactions with the Fleet Commander of the Republic of Singapore Navy at the Singapore Naval Headquarters.

A highlight of the visit was the deck reception hosted onboard INS Shakti, which provided a platform for personnel from both navies, the Indian diaspora in Singapore, and the local diplomatic community to come together and foster bonds of friendship and mutual respect.

The event showcased the spirit of camaraderie and cooperation shared between India and Singapore, reaffirming their commitment to maritime security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.

In line with the Indian Navy’s commitment to maritime education and outreach, local school children were invited to visit the Indian Ships during their stay in Singapore.

Guided tours of the ships were organized for the children, offering them insights into naval operations, India’s maritime history and heritage, and the importance of maritime security.

These interactions aimed to inspire the younger generation and promote a greater understanding of maritime affairs among future leaders.

Additionally, personnel from both the Indian Navy and the Republic of Singapore Navy participated in cross-ship visits and Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEE), along with other professional interactions.

These engagements facilitated the exchange of knowledge, best practices, and operational experiences, further enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation between the two navies.

The visit of Indian Naval Ships Delhi, Shakti, and Kiltan to Singapore underscores the importance of bilateral naval cooperation and the deepening strategic partnership between India and Singapore.

It reflects the shared commitment of both nations to promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region through collaborative maritime endeavors.
