Indian Navy Chief Meets Prime Minister Modi, Assures Combat Readiness and Focus on Self-Reliance

On June 18, 2024, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the ongoing and future initiatives of the Indian Navy.

The CNS briefed the Prime Minister on various operational, administrative, and infrastructural activities currently underway and reiterated the Navyโ€™s commitment to maintaining combat readiness under any circumstances, emphasizing the motto โ€œAnytime, Anywhere, Anyhow.โ€

Admiral Tripathi assured the Prime Minister of the Navyโ€™s dedication to safeguarding Indiaโ€™s maritime interests and highlighted the efforts towards โ€˜AatmaNirbhar Bharatโ€™ (Self-Reliant India) in enhancing the Navyโ€™s capabilities.

He also outlined the Navyโ€™s initiatives in nation-building, with a significant focus on training and welfare measures for all personnel.

This meeting underscores the Indian Navyโ€™s proactive approach in contributing to national security and its role in strengthening Indiaโ€™s position in maritime affairs.
