Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar, Army Commander, Northern Command, conducted a thorough review of the logistics and security preparedness for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2024.
During his visit, the Army Commander was briefed on key aspects such as security measures, medical response capabilities, and infrastructure developments aimed at ensuring a safe and secure pilgrimage.
The review session highlighted the effective inter-agency synergy and comprehensive safety measures put in place for the pilgrims.
Lt Gen Suchindra Kumar expressed his appreciation for the collaborative efforts between different agencies to facilitate a smooth and secure yatra experience for all participants.
In addition to his involvement in the Yatra preparations, Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar, accompanied by the Chinar Corps Commander, visited units deployed in the Counter Terrorism Grid. The visit was aimed at reviewing the security setup and interacting with troops involved in recent successful operations.
The Army Commander paid tribute to the fallen heroes and encouraged the troops to maintain a high state of operational readiness to tackle all forthcoming challenges effectively.
