Lieutenant General PC Nair, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, PhD, Director General of Assam Rifles, recently met with General Upendra Dwivedi, the newly appointed Chief of Army Staff, and Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani, the new Vice Chief of Army Staff. The meetings were held to congratulate both generals on their recent appointments and to present them with the Assam Rifles Annual Report 2023.
During his visit, Lt Gen Nair congratulated Gen Dwivedi on becoming the 30th Chief of Army Staff and commended his predecessor for his service. He also extended his best wishes to Lt Gen Raja Subramani as the new Vice Chief of Army Staff, acknowledging their pivotal roles in shaping the future of the Indian Army.
The presentation of the Assam Rifles Annual Report 2023 to both the COAS and VCOAS underscores the importance of the Assam Rifles’ contributions to national security and its operational achievements over the past year. The report highlights the key activities and initiatives undertaken by Assam Rifles, India’s oldest paramilitary force, known for its significant role in maintaining peace and security in the northeastern region of the country.
