Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, along with all ranks of the Indian Army, paid solemn tributes to Havildar Dipak Kumar Yadav and Lance Naik Praveen Sharma, who were martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.
The encounter occurred during a joint operation conducted by the Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police, and CRPF in the Kokernag area of Anantnag. The operation took place at an altitude of 10,000 feet, where Havildar Yadav and Lance Naik Sharma bravely laid down their lives in the line of duty, facing not only the terrorists but also the harsh and challenging terrain.
