President Droupadi Murmu is set to attend the event as the chief guest, underscoring its significance. The upcoming ‘Operational Demonstration’ or ‘Op Demo’ aims to illustrate the seamless connection between the Indian Navy and Odisha’s maritime legacy, with the picturesque backdrop of Blue Flag Beach. This beach, which earned the Blue Flag certification a few years ago, signifies a commitment to eco-tourism, ensuring clean and hygienic bathing facilities, a secure environment, and the promotion of sustainable development practices.
Officials from the Indian Navy have announced that they are collaborating closely with the Odisha government and local authorities to ensure the event runs smoothly. They are making arrangements for seating to accommodate both local residents and tourists, allowing many to experience the live demonstration directly from the beach.
In an effort to reach audiences beyond the immediate vicinity, the event will also be broadcast live on national television and streamed on the Indian Navy’s YouTube channel. This initiative aims to engage a broader audience, enhancing public understanding of the Navy’s role and capabilities.
