In a significant initiative to promote sports and foster community engagement in Jammu and Kashmir, the Army has officially launched the inaugural season of the ‘Krishna Ghati Premier League (KGPL) 2024-2025’. The event, organized by the Nangi Tekri battalion under the Krishna Ghati brigade, aims to become a major cricketing highlight in the twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri.
The KGPL is making headlines not only for its ambition but also for its impressive cash prize pool of Rs eight lakh, positioning it as one of the most lucrative cricket leagues in the Pir Panjal region. A total of 32 teams are participating, representing various localities across Poonch, Surankote, and Rajouri.
