Mumbai Weekly Weather Forecast: Hazy Skies and Navy Day Celebrations

Mumbai commenced its day under hazy skies and a layer of mist, setting an atmospheric backdrop for the Navy Day celebrations. With the elite MARCOS commandos of the Indian Navy performing a stunning display at the iconic Gateway of India, the city’s residents were treated to an inspiring showcase of national strength amidst the milder weather conditions.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather featured a mix of partly cloudy skies, with daytime temperatures predicted to swing between a low of 25.5°C and a peak of 34.4°C. While the warm temperatures align with the season, the air quality remains a concern, classified as ‘Moderate’ by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), prompting advice for those with respiratory issues to take necessary precautions.

In the past 24 hours, Mumbai recorded a maximum temperature of 34.4°C, nearly aligning with seasonal averages, while the minimum temperature notably rose to 25.5°C, an increase of 5.5°C above the norm. The city saw no rainfall during this period, and relative humidity levels fluctuated, starting at 73% in the morning and dropping to 61% by the evening.

Looking ahead, the city’s weather is expected to maintain a clear outlook in the coming days. The forecast indicates mainly clear skies for the week, with daily temperatures adjusting slightly. On December 4, a partly cloudy sky is anticipated with temperatures ranging between 25°C and 35°C. For the subsequent days, the predicted temperatures are as follows: December 5 will see a clear sky with a low of 24°C and a high of 34°C; on December 6, temperatures will remain stable with a minimum of 23°C and maximum of 34°C; December 7 is expected to mirror the previous day, while December 8 and 9 anticipate slightly cooler conditions with highs of 32°C.

The Navy Day festivities, marked by the dynamic showcase from the commandos, highlighted not just the prowess of the naval forces but also served as a reminder of their crucial role in national security. For Mumbaikars, the combination of mild weather and national pride made for an ideal day to partake in outdoor celebrations and events, fostering a sense of shared spirit and community unity.
