In a notable display of aerial prowess, the Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) met with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad on Saturday. The meeting comes as the team prepares for an exciting aerial performance scheduled to take place over the picturesque Hussain Sagar lake.
Established in 1996, SKAT has made a name for itself with its breathtaking air displays, and the upcoming performance is anticipated to captivate many spectators. The aerobatic team, consisting of nine Hawk Mk 132 aircraft, is renowned for executing intricate maneuvers in close formation. They have already impressed audiences with a demonstration flight on Friday over the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Secretariat building complex in Hyderabad.
The Surya Kiran team is spearheaded by Group Captain Ajay Dasarathi, a skilled pilot with experience flying the Su-30 MKI. He is supported by Deputy Leader Group Captain Sidhesh Kartik as well as a dedicated group of other adept pilots, including Squadron Leaders Jasdeep Singh, Himkhush Chandel, Ankit Vashisth, Vishnu, Diwakar Sharma, Gaurav Patel, and Wing Commanders Rajesh Kajla, Arjun Patel, Kuldeep Hooda, and Allen George. The technical operations are meticulously coordinated by Wing Commander Abhimanyu Tyagi and his team, ensuring that every aspect of the show runs smoothly.
