Terrorists Attack Indian Army Post in Poonch, No Casualties Reported

In a brazen assault on the Indian Army, terrorists launched two grenades at a military installation in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours of Wednesday. According to officials, the attack targeted a post situated behind an army camp in the Surankote region. While one of the grenades detonated, the second was successfully neutralized by bomb disposal experts.

Remarkably, no injuries or fatalities were reported as a result of the attack. In response to the grenade assault, security forces promptly initiated a search operation aimed at locating the assailants. During the operation, they discovered the safety pin of the exploded grenade in close proximity to the perimeter wall of the Army camp, a piece of evidence that might aid in their investigation.

The security agencies, comprising both Army personnel and local police, have since launched an extensive search campaign across the area to pursue the terrorists who managed to flee the scene following the attack. The efforts to track down the attackers underline the ongoing security challenges faced in the region, particularly in light of previous incidents involving militant activity.
