Lt Gen Sadhna S Nair, AVSM, VSM, Director General Medical Services (Army) and Senior Colonel Commandant, conducted a visit to Military Hospital Masimpur and Assam Rifles Nodal Hospital, Srikona (Assam) in the Eastern Sector from 16 to 17 February 2025.
During her visit, the General Officer conducted a comprehensive review of the hospitals’ facilities, which play a crucial role in providing healthcare to troops and their families in the Eastern sector. She interacted with patients, gaining insight into their treatment experiences and well-being.
Lt Gen Sadhna S Nair inspected key medical assets that contribute to the hospitals’ operational preparedness, including:
- Newly Renovated Modular Operation Theatre: Equipped with advanced technology to handle complex surgeries.
- Radiology Facilities: Enhanced with state-of-the-art imaging equipment to improve diagnostic accuracy.
- Skill Lab: Designed to train medical personnel in advanced life-saving techniques.
- Oxygen Generation Plant: A critical asset ensuring self-reliance in providing medical oxygen during emergencies.
The General Officer commended the hospital staff for their dedication and professionalism, recognizing their commitment to providing exemplary healthcare services to soldiers and their families.
