More than 700 personnel from the Indian Armed Forces and Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff are set to take part in the upcoming Multilateral Exercise ‘Bright Star 2025’, scheduled to be held in Egypt from August 28 to September 10, 2025.
The exercise, hosted by Egypt in collaboration with the United States since 1980, is regarded as one of the largest tri-service multilateral military drills in the region.
This year’s edition will include:
- Live Firing Demonstrations by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force showcasing their operational capabilities.
- Command Post Exercises aimed at enhancing joint planning, decision-making, and operational coordination.
- Short Training Exercises focused on modern warfare tactics across land, sea, and air domains.
- Subject Matter Expert Interactions on evolving aspects of contemporary military operations.
The Indian participation highlights the country’s commitment to regional peace, stability, and security while strengthening jointness, interoperability, and defence cooperation with friendly nations.
The last edition of Exercise Bright Star, held in 2023, saw the participation of multiple countries including India, and the 2025 iteration is expected to build further on that momentum.
