To ensure the smooth conduct of the upcoming CDS-II and NDA & NA (II) Examinations 2025, the District Magistrate of Gurugram has issued stringent prohibitory orders around examination centres. The exams, conducted by UPSC, will be held across the district on September 14, 2025.
Ban on Unauthorized Gatherings & Copying Devices
District Magistrate Ajay Kumar, IAS, invoked powers under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 to ban:
- The presence of unauthorized persons within a 200-metre radius of exam centres.
- The operation of photostat machines and other copying devices during examination hours.
- Carrying of firearms, raising slogans, or displaying placards near centres.
The restrictions will take effect from September 13 and remain in force throughout the examination period.
Enforcement Measures
The order will be widely publicized through announcements, publicity vans, and notices in local newspapers. Gurugram Police, under the supervision of the Commissioner of Police, will ensure strict enforcement. Violators will face prosecution under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, along with other applicable laws.
About the Exams
The National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Naval Academy (INA) exams are held twice a year by UPSC to select candidates for the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam, also conducted twice annually, recruits officers for the IMA, INA, Air Force Academy, and OTA. Both involve a written test, followed by the SSB interview and a medical examination.
