In a solemn ceremony at the 39 Gorkha Training Centre, Major General C.S. Dewgun relinquished his appointment as the Colonel of the 3rd Gorkha Rifles after an illustrious 35 years of service to the Indian Army.
The mantle of leadership was handed over to Major General K. Mahesh, General Officer Commanding, 8 Mountain Division, who now assumes the prestigious role as the new Colonel of the Regiment.
The ceremony was attended by officers, veterans, Agniveers, and members of the regimental fraternity, who paid rich tributes to Maj Gen Dewgun for his insightful and humane leadership.
