In a ceremonial event held on 26 September 2024, Maj Gen PK Sharma handed over the reins of the Army Institute of Cardio Thoracic Sciences (AICTS), Pune, marking the culmination of a highly impactful and successful tenure. Maj Gen PK Sharma, a distinguished Dermatologist and Post Graduate teacher, has served the Indian Army Medical Corps with exceptional dedication and expertise. Over the course of his illustrious career, he has held several key appointments, including MG Med, HQ MB Area, Head of the Department of Dermatology at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, and Commanding Officer of a Field Hospital in an operational area.
