Amidst the unforgiving mountainous terrain at an altitude of 14,500 feet, the Air Defence Warriors of Sapt Shakti Command demonstrated exceptional precision, endurance, and mission readiness during a high-altitude operational validation exercise.
The exercise tested the capabilities of the “Valiant Wings” to effectively detect, engage, and neutralize aerial threats in extreme conditions far beyond the plains and deserts where such systems are usually deployed. The successful conduct of this exercise underlined the adaptability and preparedness of the Corps of Army Air Defence (AAD) in safeguarding India’s skies, irrespective of terrain or weather.

The training focused on integrating tactical acumen with modern technological systems to enhance airspace protection in challenging topographies. Troops underwent rigorous drills that simulated real-time air threat scenarios, honing their ability to swiftly respond in adverse climatic conditions, including freezing temperatures and oxygen-deprived high-altitude environments.

The validation exercises not only tested equipment and coordination efficiency but also emphasized mental agility, team cohesion, and operational innovation key pillars of the Indian Army’s readiness doctrine. The display of discipline and professionalism by the soldiers reflected the ethos of “Unforgiving Terrain… Unwavering Resolve”, embodying the spirit of India’s Air Defence forces.

Through such exercises, Sapt Shakti Command continues to strengthen the Indian Army’s deterrence and operational readiness, ensuring that the nation’s airspace remains secure anytime, anywhere, and in any condition.
