In a remarkable display of grit, teamwork, and determination, cadets of the 6th & 7th terms and 2nd term NOC (Extended) of the Indian Naval Academy (INA) showcased their mettle during the four-day Camp Varuna, an annual test of endurance, leadership, and seamanship.
From early morning navigation runs that demanded sheer stamina and willpower, to the gruelling 9 NM pulling regatta that tested both strength and teamwork, the cadets faced every challenge with unyielding resolve. Open sea sailing and watermanship drills brought them face to face with the very elements they are destined to command the sea and the wind refining their dexterity, coordination, and determination.
Adding to the intensity were multiple live-firing sessions, designed to sharpen cadetsโ focus, precision, and composure under pressure. Each event was a step toward mastering the physical and mental demands of life at sea, building not just officers, but leaders of character and courage.
The Campfire Night ceremony, graced by Vice Admiral V. Srinivas, PVSM, AVSM, NM, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (South), brought the camp to a grand close. Amidst the glow of the campfire and the backdrop of the starlit sky, tales of bravery, camaraderie, and triumph resonated through the night celebrating the cadetsโ unbreakable spirit.
Emerging victorious, the Fighter Squadron claimed the coveted Camp Varuna honours, standing as a proud testament to their discipline, endurance, and resilience.
From first light to twilight, Camp Varuna 2025 embodied the spirit of the Indian Navy endurance at sea, excellence ashore, and the unwavering will to rise above every wave.
