As part of the Forward Area Orientation Tour, officers from the Naval Higher Command Course of the Naval War College visited the Trishakti Corps to gain a deeper understanding of operational dynamics and inter-service coordination in the eastern theatre.
During the visit, the officers were briefed at the Corps Headquarters, Sukna, on the operational preparedness, terrain challenges, and tri-service synergy vital for safeguarding India’s borders in the strategically important Sikkim sector.
The delegation also visited forward areas in Sikkim, where they were apprised of the unique operational environment, infrastructure development, and measures undertaken to maintain combat readiness in high-altitude conditions.
The visit served to enhance joint understanding, strategic awareness, and inter-service cooperation between the Indian Army and the Indian Navy, reflecting the growing emphasis on integrated operations and unified response strategies under the jointmanship framework of the Indian Armed Forces.
