The Indian Army’s Northern Command organised an insightful and thought-provoking discussion titled ‘Samvad: Op Without Boundaries’, focusing on Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) and the integration of emerging technologies to address future security challenges.
Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command, delivered the keynote address, underscoring the need for enhanced synergy, innovation, and adaptability to effectively counter evolving contemporary threats. He highlighted that future conflicts will demand seamless coordination across domains—land, air, cyber, space, and information—and reiterated the Indian Army’s commitment to technological transformation and operational readiness.
The event featured discussions by eminent panelists and subject matter experts, moderated by Lieutenant General Hariharan, General Officer Commanding, Strike One Corps. Drawing from their extensive operational and strategic experience, the experts delved into how Atmanirbharta (self-reliance) and innovation can drive India’s preparedness for next-generation warfare.
Following the panel discussions, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma visited the equipment display area, which showcased cutting-edge capability development initiatives by various Army formations and defence innovators. He commended the efforts made towards advancing technology absorption and indigenous solutions within the Indian Army.
