The Young Leaders Forum (YLF) commenced with a series of insightful sessions focused on empowering India’s youth to take an active role in shaping the nation’s defence and security landscape. The discussions revolved around the evolving dimensions of national security and the growing significance of innovation, technology, and civic engagement in strengthening India’s strategic future.
Session I: Youth-Driven National Security
The inaugural session, themed “The Future of Defence: Youth at the Heart of National Security,” set the tone for dynamic dialogue and collaboration. Participants explored how India’s youth can redefine the contours of national security in the 21st century. Speakers emphasised the pivotal role of innovation, start-ups, and entrepreneurship in bolstering the nation’s defence ecosystem, highlighting that the spirit, creativity, and determination of young Indians are vital to building a resilient and future-ready nation.

Session II: Youth Leadership in Defence Strategy
The second session delved into Youth Leadership in Defence Strategy and the broader role of young citizens in supporting the nation’s security across conventional and grey-zone frontlines. The discussions underscored how modern warfare now extends beyond physical battlegrounds into the realms of information, technology, and civic responsibility. Participants agreed that India’s youth must be informed, empowered, and proactive in strengthening the nation’s strategic posture.

Session III: The Evolving Frontiers of Warfare
The final session explored the new-age battlefronts of cyberspace, outer space, and the information domain, underlining how technology and youth-led innovation are redefining the nature of conflict. The panel discussions on Cybersecurity, Space as a Pivot for Multi-Domain Operations, and Social Media as a Tool for National Security highlighted the urgent need to develop India’s digital warriors of tomorrow—coders, engineers, data analysts, and creators who will serve as vital defenders on the digital frontlines.

The Young Leaders Forum reaffirmed the message that the youth of today form the backbone of India’s secure and self-reliant future, embodying the vision of a technologically advanced, resilient, and forward-looking defence ecosystem.
