The Commando Course of the Indian Army concluded on 31 October 2025 at the Junior Leaders Wing (JLW), Belagavi, marking the completion of one of the most mentally gruelling and physically demanding training programmes in the armed forces.
International Participation and Intense Training
The rigorous course, designed to test physical endurance, tactical proficiency, and leadership under extreme stress, saw participation from Indian Army personnel along with four Junior Leaders from Friendly Foreign Countries (FFCs) โ Benin, Botswana, Cameroon, and the Philippines. Their participation underscored the Indian Armyโs emphasis on fostering global military cooperation and shared learning among partner nations.

Recognising Outstanding Achievements
At the closing ceremony, Maj Gen Rakesh Manocha, Commander, Junior Leaders Wing, addressed the gathering and felicitated the top performers.
Sepoy Rajendar Singh Khati of the 22 KUMAON Regiment was adjudged the Best Student of the course for his exceptional performance, discipline, and leadership qualities throughout the demanding training.
Corporal Jay Lord C Pasaraba of the Philippine Army was honoured as the Best Foreign Student, reflecting the strong camaraderie and professionalism among participants from across nations.

Upholding the Legacy of Excellence
The Commando Course at JLW Belagavi continues to uphold its legacy of producing battle-ready leaders, equipped with the mental fortitude, tactical skill, and operational excellence required for modern warfare.
