Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, reviewed the operational preparedness of Konark Corps during Exercise Akhand Prahaar, a major combat validation drill conducted in the Desert Sector as part of the Tri-Services Exercise Trishul.

Full-Spectrum Combat Readiness Demonstrated

Exercise Akhand Prahaar showcased the Konark Corps’ ability to execute full-spectrum, integrated combat operations, combining the capabilities of mechanised formations, infantry battalions, and the high-tempo land operations of the Rudra Brigade.

A major highlight of the exercise was the employment of indigenous drones, counter-drone systems, electronic warfare (EW) grids, and real-time surveillance systems.

  • Force protection

The exercise underscored India’s growing technological edge, reaffirming the Indian Army’s commitment to Atmanirbharta and cutting-edge modernisation.

Seamless land–air integration with the IAF was demonstrated through:

  • Close Air Support
  • Fighter Ground Attack missions
  • Real-time ISR support

This synergy ensured rapid, coordinated responses and validated joint operational doctrines central to future warfare.

A Future-Ready, Networked Formation

Exercise Akhand Prahaar reaffirmed Konark Corps’ transformation into a modern, agile, networked, and high-tempo warfighting formation, prepared for multi-domain operations in the evolving battlespace.

Army Commander Commends Operational Excellence

Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth praised all participating formations and units for their:

  • Professionalism
  • Innovation
  • Joint operational excellence

He lauded the Corps for embodying Southern Command’s ethos of Jointness, Technology Absorption, and Operational Excellence, noting that such exercises are crucial for shaping a Future-Ready Force capable of meeting emerging security challenges with confidence and precision.
