Dubai, United Arab Emirates – November 21, 2025 – The Indian Air Force (IAF) suffered a significant loss today when a Tejas light combat aircraft crashed during a demonstration flight at the Dubai Airshow, resulting in the death of Wing Commander Namansh Syal. The incident occurred around 2:10 p.m. local time, as the aircraft was performing aerial maneuvers in front of a gathered audience, including industry professionals, dignitaries, and families.
According to official statements from the IAF, the Tejas aircraft appeared to lose control during its display, descending rapidly toward the ground and erupting into a fireball upon impact. Eyewitness accounts described thick black smoke billowing from the crash site, with the wreckage left charred and mangled.
