Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, visited the Artillery Centre Nashik, where he conducted a detailed review of the Centre’s ongoing training initiatives and infrastructure upgrades aimed at delivering technology-enabled, holistic military training to Agniveers. The visit underscored the Army’s focus on modernising training ecosystems to meet the evolving demands of the contemporary battlefield.
During the review, the Army Commander was briefed on the Centre’s enhanced training modules, simulation-based learning platforms, digitised instructional aids and the adoption of emerging technologies tailored to develop future-ready Gunners. He appreciated the Centre’s commitment to maintaining high training standards and its proactive role in integrating modern systems in line with the Indian Army’s Year of Technology Absorption and the wider Decade of Transformation.

Lt Gen Seth also felicitated achievers who have significantly contributed to the refinement and modernisation of training methodologies, acknowledging their efforts in fostering innovation and improving the effectiveness of the training curriculum. He emphasised that such initiatives ensure the Artillery Centre remains innovative, adaptive and future-ready, empowering Agniveers with the skills, discipline and technological proficiency required to excel in present and future operational scenarios.

The visit reaffirmed the Southern Command’s commitment to strengthening institutional capacities, enhancing training excellence and accelerating the Army’s transition toward a more modern, agile and tech-savvy force.
