Chief of Staff, Sapta Shakti Command, Lt Gen HS Vandra, conducted a comprehensive review of the operational preparedness of the elite Russell’s Vipers Assault Team during their ongoing desert warfare training at the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan.

The Assault Team has been undergoing intensive drills focused on combat readiness, mobility, and survivability in harsh desert conditions—critical to enhancing operational capability along arid frontiers. The review included briefings on training objectives, weapon proficiency, field manoeuvres, and mission-specific preparedness.

Interacting with the troops, Lt Gen Vandra commended their dedication, professionalism, and high training standards. He praised their commitment to mission excellence and urged them to remain vigilant, continuously sharpen their skills, and uphold the finest traditions of the Indian Army.

He further emphasised the importance of realistic training, adaptability, and preparedness to meet evolving security challenges, reaffirming Sapta Shakti Command’s focus on maintaining a formidable, agile and combat-ready force in desert terrain.
