In a major morale-boosting visit, Lt Gen R.C. Tiwari, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command, visited the troops of Brahmastra Corps deployed at the newly established Chopra Defence Land to review their operational preparedness and infrastructure progress.
During his interaction, the Army Commander lauded the troops for their unwavering zeal, professionalism, and tireless efforts in establishing and operationalising the new defence base within a minimal timeframe. He praised their commitment to mission readiness despite logistical and environmental challenges, calling it a reflection of the Indian Armyโs adaptability and dedication to national defence.

Lt Gen Tiwari urged all personnel to maintain the highest standards of operational preparedness and remain proactive in addressing evolving security challenges along the eastern frontier. He emphasised that maintaining readiness in dynamic geopolitical conditions is essential to safeguarding Indiaโs strategic interests.

As part of his visit, the Army Commander also met Shri Hamidul Rahaman, MLA of Chopra Constituency, and other civil dignitaries, underscoring the importance of civil-military cooperation in promoting both security and regional development. He appreciated the support extended by the local administration in facilitating the Armyโs initiatives in the region.

The establishment of the Chopra Defence Base represents a significant step in enhancing Indiaโs defence posture in the eastern theatre, improving logistics, troop mobility, and regional coordination.
