Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, AVSM, VSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the prestigious Kharga Corps, conducted a comprehensive review of the operational preparedness of the Airawat Division. The visit underlined the Indian Armyโs continued focus on operational excellence, technological adaptation, and readiness for future challenges.
During his interaction with the troops and field commanders, Lt Gen Pushkar lauded the Divisionโs high state of combat readiness, professionalism, and commitment to the Armyโs core values of service, courage, and integrity. He also appreciated the formationโs seamless integration of emerging technologiesโsuch as network-centric warfare systems, surveillance drones, and precision targeting platformsโinto their operational framework, ensuring enhanced situational awareness and battlefield agility.
The review included detailed briefings on ongoing modernization initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, and tactical innovations being implemented to strengthen combined arms coordination. Lt Gen Pushkar emphasized that modern warfare demands flexibility, technological proficiency, and rapid decision-making at every level of command. He urged all ranks to continue honing their skills, maintaining peak physical fitness, and staying abreast of advancements in digital warfare and artificial intelligence applications.
Lt Gen Pushkar encouraged the formation to uphold its legacy of valour and professionalism while preparing for evolving operational contingencies. He also commended the leadership of the Airawat Division for fostering a culture of discipline, innovation, and synergy across arms and services.

As part of his address, the Corps Commander highlighted the importance of jointness and interoperability with the Indian Air Force and other sister services in ensuring integrated battle readiness. He noted that the Kharga Corps remains a vital component of the Armyโs strike capability in the western sector and continues to set benchmarks in training standards and operational effectiveness.
