Shri Raj Kumar Arora, IDAS (1990), today assumed charge as the Financial Advisor (Defence Services), bringing with him a wealth of experience in financial management, defence acquisitions, and policy formulation.
An officer of the 1990 batch of the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS), Shri Arora has served in several key positions across the government, including Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) and Additional Secretary, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
During his distinguished career, he has been closely associated with crucial domains such as acquisition planning, financial policy, accounting, auditing, budgeting, and personnel management, contributing significantly to the strengthening of India’s defence financial architecture.
His appointment as Financial Advisor (Defence Services) underscores the Ministry of Defence’s continued focus on transparency, efficiency, and strategic alignment of financial resources with national security priorities.
