The third Tri-Service eight-week Training Course in Sports Medicine for Medical Officers of the Armed Forces commenced at the Department of Sports Medicine, Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, on 10 November 2025. The course was inaugurated by Major General Atul Seth, Dean and Deputy Commandant, AFMC Pune.

The specialised programme aims to enhance clinical competence among Armed Forces medical professionals in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of training-related injuries, while fostering expertise in optimising human performance across the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Designed to align with the unique physical demands of military training and operational readiness, the course equips participants with the latest knowledge in sports physiology, rehabilitation techniques, nutrition science, and injury prevention protocols โ critical for sustaining combat fitness and long-term health among service personnel.
