The Honourable Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt Gen KT Parnaik (Retd), interacted with and felicitated the triumphant Mt Kangto Expedition Team at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar, on 08 December 2025.
The mountaineers from the Gajraj Corps successfully summited Mt Kangto, the highest peak in Arunachal Pradesh, marking a historic achievement as the first-ever ascent from the southern approach. The Governor congratulated the team for their courage, endurance, and exemplary spirit of adventure.
Lt Gen Parnaik praised the expedition members for showcasing exceptional determination in challenging terrain and reaffirmed the state’s pride in their remarkable accomplishment.
The meeting highlighted the significance of this milestone for Arunachal Pradesh and celebrated the indomitable grit of the Indian Army’s mountaineers.
