Lieutenant General Pushpendra Singh, Vice Chief of the Army Staff (VCOAS), presided over Innoयोद्धा 2025, the Indian Army’s flagship Idea and Innovation Competition, held at the Manekshaw Centre. The event brought together the most promising innovations created by soldiers from across the Army.

Lt Gen Pushpendra Singh Reviewing Missiles

The VCOAS felicitated the top 32 innovators, praising their dedication, ingenuity, and commitment to solving real-world operational challenges. He noted that the essence of the event lies in recognising soldiers who apply frontline experience to create practical, impactful solutions.

In his address, Lieutenant General Singh emphasised that soldiers deployed on ground have an unmatched understanding of battlefield realities. This, he said, enables them to identify problems swiftly and design solutions that are both mission-oriented and technically sound.

A total of 89 innovations were submitted this year by service personnel from various arms and services. These entries went through a detailed and rigorous evaluation process, ensuring only the most relevant and field-ready ideas were shortlisted for final display.

The top 32 innovations showcased at Innoयोद्धा 2025 will now be advanced for production by the Army Design Bureau (ADB). These solutions are intended to strengthen operational readiness, logistics efficiency, and training standards across multiple field formations.

A key highlight of the event was the release of the Compendium of Ideas & Innovation 2025–26, which documents emerging concepts, technologies, and prototypes developed within the Army. The publication highlights the increasing culture of innovation among soldiers.

The event also witnessed the formalisation of Transfer of Technology (ToT) for two notable innovations, marking another step in deepening collaboration between the Indian Army and the domestic defence industry to accelerate indigenisation.
