Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Army Training Command, visited the Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, on December 19, 2025, as part of efforts to strengthen inter-services cooperation and joint training.

During the visit, Lt Gen Sharma was briefed on the academyโs comprehensive training modules, including the integration of advanced technology platforms and technology-infused initiatives designed to prepare officers for emerging operational challenges. The briefing highlighted how modern tools, simulations, and future-oriented methodologies are being incorporated into training to enhance operational effectiveness.

The Army Commander noted that the visit reflects the Indian Army and the Indian Air Forceโs shared commitment to jointness and integration, aimed at building a mission-centric and future-ready force. He commended the Air Force Academy for maintaining high training standards and for aligning its training objectives with the evolving requirements of future warfare.
Lt Gen Sharma also appreciated the academyโs focus on adaptability, innovation, and interoperability, underscoring that such collaborative training efforts are essential for addressing complex, multi-domain security challenges in the years ahead.
