On the occasion of New Year 2026, General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), visited Base Hospital Delhi Cantt, where he interacted with serving personnel and veterans undergoing treatment.
During his visit, the COAS expressed deep appreciation for the indomitable fighting spirit, resilience, and courage displayed by the soldiers and veterans in overcoming injuries and health challenges. He conveyed his heartfelt New Year wishes and prayed for their speedy recovery, reaffirming the Indian Armyโs unwavering commitment to the welfare of its personnel and veterans.

General Dwivedi also commended the medical officers, nursing staff, and paramedical personnel for their exceptional professionalism, dedication, and selfless service. He lauded their relentless efforts in delivering high-quality, compassionate medical care and ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of serving soldiers, veterans, and their families at all times.

The COAS acknowledged that the Armed Forces Medical Services form a critical pillar of operational readiness and morale, playing a vital role both during peace and conflict.
