Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command, visited the NCC Republic Day Camp today, where he was received by the Directorate General NCC.

During the visit, Lt Gen Katiyar witnessed an impressive band display by cadets of Sainik School Ghorakhal, applauding their precision, coordination, and musical excellence. He also toured the meticulously curated Flag Area, which showcased a range of social awareness themes reflecting the NCC’s commitment to nation-building, civic responsibility, and constitutional values.

The Army Commander later visited the Hall of Fame, which stands as a proud testament to the rich heritage, achievements, and enduring legacy of the National Cadet Corps.
Concluding the visit, Lt Gen Katiyar interacted informally with NCC cadets, engaging warmly with them and appreciating their discipline, enthusiasm, and dedication. As a gesture of encouragement, he presented tokens of appreciation to the cadets, motivating them to continue striving for excellence and service to the nation.
