Lt Gen Praveen Bakshi, VSM, has taken over as the Commandant of the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow—one of the Indian Army’s premier institutions for training in telecommunications, cyber, and information warfare.
Extending congratulations and best wishes on the occasion, Lt Gen Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, and all ranks of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) conveyed their confidence in Lt Gen Bakshi’s leadership and vision.
As Commandant, Lt Gen Bakshi will steer MCTE’s mandate of developing future-ready leaders and specialists for the Corps of Signals and the wider Army—strengthening capabilities across secure communications, network-centric operations, cyber defence, and emerging technologies.
The appointment underscores the Indian Army’s continued emphasis on professional excellence, technological modernisation, and innovation-driven training to meet evolving operational challenges.
