Maj Gen IS Gill, Chief of Staff, Uttar Bharat Area, reviewed operational readiness and forward area development in the Kumaon Sector, covering key locations including Dharchula, Gunji, Navidang, and Jollingkong.
During the visit, Maj Gen Gill assessed operational preparedness, infrastructure development, and logistical arrangements in the high-altitude forward areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Operating in sub-zero temperatures and hostile terrain, troops were commended for maintaining round-the-clock alertness and a high state of combat readiness.
Interacting with soldiers deployed in these remote posts, the senior officer praised their relentless vigilance, discipline, and iron resolve, noting that their professionalism and endurance form a critical pillar of national security.
