Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan attended the inauguration of the NCC Republic Day Camp 2026 in New Delhi today as the Chief Guest, marking the formal commencement of one of the National Cadet Corpsโ most prestigious annual events.

Addressing the cadets, the Vice-President lauded the NCCโs enduring contribution to nation-building and youth development. He said that the organisationโs motto of Unity and Discipline continues to mould confident, responsible, and service-oriented young citizens, who form the backbone of Indiaโs journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047.

Highlighting the exemplary role played by NCC cadets in recent years, Shri Radhakrishnan specifically appreciated their service during Operation Sindoor and various disaster relief operations across the country. He noted that the discipline, leadership, and sense of duty displayed by cadets during these challenging situations reflect the strength of NCC training and values.

The Vice-President described the Republic Day Camp as a living symbol of Indiaโs unity in diversity, bringing together cadets from across states and union territories. He said the camp not only celebrates constitutional values and national integration but also showcases the promise of future leadership committed to service before self.

The NCC Republic Day Camp 2026 will feature a range of activities, including cultural exchanges, leadership training, national integration programmes, and ceremonial events, culminating in participation in the Republic Day celebrations. The camp reaffirms the NCCโs role in shaping disciplined, socially conscious, and patriotic youth for the nationโs future.
