Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Western Air Command, visited a frontline Indian Air Force station to assess its operational capabilities and preparedness. On arrival, the Air Marshal was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour, reflecting the importance of the visit.

During the inspection, Air Marshal Mishra conducted a comprehensive review of the station’s operational readiness, infrastructure and combat preparedness. As part of the visit, he undertook an operational sortie in the Su-30MKI fighter aircraft, gaining first-hand insight into flying operations and mission profiles being executed at the base.

The AOC-in-C also interacted extensively with air warriors and support personnel, discussing operational challenges, training standards and the importance of maintaining a high state of alertness in a dynamic security environment.

Commending the personnel, Air Marshal Mishra praised the air warriors for their exemplary morale, unwavering professionalism and steadfast commitment to maintaining peak operational preparedness at all times. He reaffirmed Western Air Command’s focus on operational excellence, mission readiness and sustained combat capability.
