The Joint Military Exercise Khanjar XIII 2026 between the Special Forces of India and Kyrgyzstan concluded with a formal Closing Ceremony at Misamari in Assam on 17 February 2026. The exercise was conducted from 04 to 17 February, reaffirming the growing defence cooperation between the two nations.

Held in a spirit of camaraderie and professionalism, the exercise focused on enhancing mutual understanding, operational synergy and shared tactical proficiency between the participating contingents. Troops from both sides trained together in realistic scenarios, fostering trust and seamless coordination.

Over the course of the exercise, the Special Forces honed skills in counter-terrorism operations, special operations drills and small-team tactics. Emphasis was placed on joint planning, execution of missions and exchanging best practices, significantly strengthening interoperability.

Exercise Khanjar XIII 2026 reflected the deepening defence partnership between India and Kyrgyzstan and reaffirmed the shared commitment of the Indian Army and Kyrgyz Army towards regional stability, security and enduring military cooperation.
