A group of 50 students from the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (AFPI) visited Kharga Sappers as part of an educational and motivational exposure programme aimed at nurturing future leaders of the Indian Armed Forces.
During the visit, the armed forces aspirants were familiarised with the Kharga Sapper Training Area, where they were exposed to a Containerised Indoor Shooting Range, providing insight into modern marksmanship training methods. The students also witnessed demonstrations of specialised engineer equipment, highlighting the critical role played by combat engineers in military operations.
As part of the programme, the students were given a brief tour of the Western Command CBRN School, where they were introduced to the Army’s preparedness and training in Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) defence.
The visit served as an inspiring experience, reinforcing the values of discipline, leadership and service, while offering young aspirants a closer look at life in uniform. The interaction reflected the Indian Army’s continued efforts towards inspiring, nurturing and preparing the next generation for a career in the nation’s armed forces.
