General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), engaged with Army veterans in Poonch, holding wide-ranging interactions that reflected deep camaraderie and mutual respect.
During the interaction, the COAS discussed service experiences, ongoing veteran welfare initiatives, and the continued contribution of veterans to nation-building. He acknowledged their invaluable role in shaping the ethos, traditions and professional excellence of the Indian Army.
General Dwivedi also met Veer Naris and representatives of the civil administration at Poonch Brigade, reiterating the Army’s commitment to the dignity, welfare and well-being of soldiers’ families and the larger veteran fraternity.
