The Indian Army and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) further strengthened inter-agency operational readiness through a two-week capsule training programme on Counter Terrorism and Quick Reaction Team (QRT) skill enhancement at Aundh Military Station, Pune. The training was conducted from 19 to 31 January 2026, with the participation of 100 CISF personnel.
The course was designed and conducted by the Indian Army to enhance tactical skills, improve response mechanisms, and prepare CISF personnel for complex counter-terror and emergency response scenarios. The structured training focused on practical drills, operational coordination, and mission-oriented preparedness.

Following the completion of the course, a Joint Mock Drill was carried out to test and enhance inter-agency coordination and counter-terror preparedness. The exercise involved multiple stakeholders, including CISF, the Indian Army, Force One, State Police, Fire Department, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Bomb Squad, and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). The drill provided a realistic operational environment to validate joint response protocols and interoperability among participating agencies.

An AMAR (Army Martial Arts Routine) demonstration by CISF personnel was also conducted during the event, showcasing physical fitness, combat skills, and overall combat readiness achieved through the training programme.
The event was attended by senior CISF leadership, including Shri Padmakar S. Ranpise, ADG (South), Shri Abhishek Goyal, IG (West Sector), and Smt. Mamta Rahul, DIG (WZ-1), along with senior officers from other participating organisations. The visiting officers interacted with the trainees and officers from the Indian Army and other agencies, appreciating the high standards of training and the emphasis on joint preparedness.

The successful conduct of the programme and the subsequent joint exercise highlighted the commitment of the Indian Army and CISF towards strengthening inter-agency cooperation, enhancing counter-terror capabilities, and ensuring a coordinated response to evolving security challenges.
