Rear Admiral Happy Mohan, VSM, assumed charge as the Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor of the Indian Naval Academy (INA). An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College, Naval War College and the National Defence College, Rear Admiral Mohan is a Communication and Electronic Warfare Specialist with extensive professional and academic credentials.
In over three decades of distinguished service in the Indian Navy, the Flag Officer has held a wide range of important operational and staff appointments. These include key tenures at Naval Headquarters, the Western Fleet, INS Chilka, and the Signal School. He has also commanded multiple frontline naval ships, gaining deep operational experience across diverse maritime roles.
Prior to assuming his present appointment, Rear Admiral Happy Mohan served as the Commanding Officer of INS Circars, where he was responsible for critical maritime security and operational tasks.
His appointment as Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor is expected to further strengthen leadership training and professional education at the Indian Naval Academy, shaping future naval officers for the challenges of modern maritime operations.
