Subedar Hemraj laid down his life while performing his duty amid perilous roads and unforgiving mountainous conditions. His unwavering commitment, courage and sense of duty in the face of extreme challenges epitomised the finest traditions of the Indian Army and its ethos of selfless service to the nation.

The sacrifice of the brave soldier stands as a powerful reminder of the risks borne daily by troops deployed in difficult and hostile environments to safeguard national security. His dedication and valour will continue to inspire comrades and future generations of soldiers.
